Roger Kent Bennett

Roger Kent Bennett, age 74, of Myrtle Beach, passed away April 15, 2024, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.

He was born September 24, 1949, in Lexington, NC, a son of the late John & Mabel Bennett.

Roger was proud to have served his country in the army during the Vietnam War and was discharged honorably. He was a devout member of the Socastee Family Worship Center and a member of the American Legion.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Maria Antis Bennett, a niece; Karri Ann Bennett.

He is survived by his brother, Gary Bennett, wife Vicky of Thomasville, NC; and a sister-in-law, Frieda Cales, of Myrtle Beach, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Socastee Family Worship Center with visitation following the service. Additional service will take place, 11:00 am, Monday, April 22, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Lexington, NC, officiated by Pastors; Mark Hopkins, Joe Beane, and Chuck McElroy, burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 am, prior to service.

Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is serving the family.
