Roger Byrd

Mr. Roger Wayne Byrd, 65, of Ronnie Mock Road, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Rev. Doug McGee will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Byrd was born in Davidson County on May 5, 1944 to Grady Willard Byrd and Hazel Jordan Byrd. He was a carpenter with Rodgers Builders Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife Christabelle James Byrd of the home. Sons; Terry Byrd and wife Stacy, Jeffery Byrd and wife Brandy all of Lexington. A brother, Herman Webster Byrd and wife Ursula of Churchland. Grandchildren; Courtney Leaann Byrd, Dalton Byrd, Haley Byrd, Jesse Byrd, Hannah Byrd all of Lexington. A visitation will be held 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home on Ronnie Mock Road. Memorials may be directed to donors choice. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
