Roger Joe Floyd

Roger Floyd, age 72 of Allred Road died Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his home with family by his side.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel officiated by David Langley. A burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive family and friends from 9:30 am till 10:30 am prior to service.

Roger was born September 29, 1950, in Davidson County to Miller Roosevelt Floyd and Frances Koonts Floyd. He was part of the maintenance department at Department of Transportation, after retirement he drove a school bus for Central High School for many years and was a Christian. Roger is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his daughter; Tammy Floyd Cooper, brothers Farrell Floyd (Martha), Bruce Floyd (Glenda), Gerry Floyd (Michelle), sisters, Kathy Cope (Pete), Sherry Floyd, 2 grandchildren; Madelyn and Colby Prince.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
