Roger Dale Hutchens, Sr.

Roger Dale Hutchens Sr., 62, of Old Yadkinville Road, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at his home. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Bethlehem Church by the Rev. Aaron Long. Mr. Hutchens was born Oct. 14, 1944, in Forsyth County to Albert Hutchens and Ruby Martin Hutchens. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jimmy Pruett, his brother, Donnie Gene, and his sister, Grace Whitley. Surviving are one son, Roger Dale Hutchens Jr. and his family of Clemmons; four daughters, Angela Kindley and her family of Mocksville, Cathy Hutchens and her family of Lexington, Karen Hinson and her family of Harmony and Misty Shelby and her family of Lexington; nine grandchildren; and three brothers, Harold Hutchens and Jerry Hutchens, both of Lexington, and John Martin of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. The family would like to extend special thanks to his daughter-in-law, Melissa Hutchens, for all her love, care and support during Dad's illness.
