Roger Dale Mcbride

Roger Dale McBride, 57, of Federal Street, died Jan. 3, 2009, at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lexington City Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Knight officiating. Mr. McBride was born March 6, 1951, in Surry County to William Ernest McBride and Nancy Beulah Duncan McBride. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly employed at Coble Dairy in the maintenance department. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his girlfriend, Judy Tanner; sons Jimmy Dale McBride and his wife, Lisa, and Lewis Lee McBride and his wife, Leighann; daughter Lynn McBride Moore and her husband, Chad; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Janie Bowman and her husband, Robert. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
