Roger "Dale" Miller

Roger “Dale” Miller 73 passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Rev. Larry Michael officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the funeral home.    Dale was born in Trenton County, New Jersey on November 30, 1943 to Samuel Pierson Miller and Annie Lee White Miller.  He was a retired truck driver with ABF Trucking and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple, a member of Midways Lions Club and also of Pickin & Grinnin.  Dale was also a veteran of the US Air Force.  He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Ricky and Jerry Miller and a sister, Annette Sink.   Surviving is his wife of 55 years and the love of his life, Una Belle Cook Miller of the home, his mother of Winston-Salem, one son Greg Miller (Emily) of Welcome, daughters, Lori Miller and special friend (Woody) of Lexington, Jeanne Miller Surratt (Scott) of Arcadia, brothers, David Miller (Sue) and Donald Miller of Midway, one sister, Joyce Lee Norman of Midway, grandchildren, Charlie Goforth (Heather), Nikki Everhart (Lee), Wesley Miller, Zane Miller, great-grandchildren, Izabell Goforth and Lincoln Goforth.   Memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Temple General Fund, 622 Hill Everhart Rd., Lexington, NC  27295.
