Ronald Fredrick Apgar

Ronald Fredrick Apgar, 76, of Kimberly Drive in Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Accordius Health in Lexington.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 31 at Forest Hill Chapel with Pastor Jeff Perdue officiating.  Entombment will follow at Forest Hill.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 30 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Ronald was born on March 31, 1942 in Sumerville, NJ to Russell Apgar and and Mary Burd Apgar.  He served in the United States Army and was a member of VFW Post 3074, American Legion 8 and AMVET 13.  He retired from the finishing room at Lexington Furniture Industries and was preceded in death by his wife, Adelle Mae Hoy Apgar, his parents, brother, Clarence Burd and sister, Jane Burd Willis.

Surviving are his sons, Ronald J. Hoy (Tina Marie) of Lexington, George H. Willis, Jr. (Jennifer) of Lexington, Ronald Apgar, Jr. of New Jersey; daughters, Bonnie Apgar and Tammy Apgar, both of New Jersey; brothers, John Burd, Danny Apgar and Lewis Apgar, all of New Jersey; sister, Rose Apgar of New Jersey; and two grandchildren, Dakota Stone Hoy and Audrey Mae Willis.
