Ronald Steven Arnette

Ronald Steven Arnette, 61, of Old Highway 109, Lexington, died Thursday, October 08, 2009, at Duke Medical Center, after declining health for two years. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Davidson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Jordan officiating. Mr. Arnette was born May 18, 1948, in Guilford County, to John Bernie Arnette and Margarett Tysinger Arnette. He retired as owner of Arnette Construction Company in 2006. Mr. Arnette served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Jonna McGuire Arnette of the home; sons, John Douglas Arnette and wife, Melissa, of Walkertown, Andrew Steven Arnette and Dalton Saunders Arnette, both of the home; two grandchildren, Sierra White and Taylor Ann Arnette; a sister, Pamela Thomas and husband, Butch, of New Smyrna, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
