Ronald Gale Broadway, 69, of Lexington, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following an illness of two months.
The funeral will be noon Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Bethany United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Talbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Broadway was born November 8, 1942, in Davidson County, to Arthur Wade Broadway and Margaree Garner Broadway. He was retired Drywall specialist. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Broadway.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Lexington are a son, Ronald Lee Broadway of Lexington; daughter, Melissa Broadway Charles of Lexington; grandson, Rusti Broadway of Oregon, and Megan Charles of Lexington; mother of his children and dear friend, Betty Greer Broadway; brother, Charles Broadway and wife, Judy, of Lexington; and sister-in-law, Rita Broadway of Lexington.
