Ronald Andrew Halahan

Ronald Andrew Halahan, Sr. age 80 of Lexington, passed away at his home on Friday, January 20, 2023. A celebration of his life will be at noon, February 4, 2023 at Christ Church in Winston Salem conducted by Rev. Benji Davis. The family will see friends after the service.

Ronald was born January 4, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Michael Halahan and Helen Tarball Halahan. He retired from AMSAA (U.S. Army), where he worked as an electronic countermeasures specialist. He loved woodworking, making beautiful pieces of furniture and other items for his family, friends, and church, in addition to astronomy and general science, and spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. His wife, Dorothy Ellen Cox Halahan and his brother, Michael “Randy” Halahan preceded him in death.

Surviving are his son, Ronald Andrew Halahan, Jr. (Jen) of Salem, Virginia, his daughter, Constance “Connie” Halahan Wojtek (Chris) of Greensboro, grandchildren Peyton and Lukas Wojtek and Ronald Jackson Halahan, his brothers Robert Halahan of Florida and Richard Halahan (Betty) of Pittsburgh, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
