Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Weaver, 74, of Old Highway 75, died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at his home.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Second Reformed United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with The Rev. Jim Luck officiating. Military rites will be presented by the North Carolina National Guard and the Davidson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor and other times at the home.
Mr. Weaver was born February 3, 1942, in Davidson County, to Eugene Vincent Weaver and Ethel Rhodes Weaver. He was an engineer for the City of Lexington for many years. In 1961 on July 22 Ronnie married the love of his life, Joyce Ann McLeod. Mr. Weaver enjoyed restoring automobiles, was a member of the National Rifle Association an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Weaver and Theodore Edward Weaver.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years Joyce Ann McLeod Weaver of the home; brother, James R. “Rick” Weaver and wife Carol of Lexington; sister, Linda Duffey and husband Doug of Lexington; nephews, Jeff Nance, Brian Weaver and wife Carolyn, Chris Duffey and wife Meredith, Matthew Hill and wife Nina, and John Hill; nieces, Tara Skelton and husband Lenny, Wendy Rabon, Lori King and husband Phillip, and Susann Tucker and husband Kevin; and Godchild, Shannon Chappel Jarrett.

The Weaver family would like to express their gratitude to a special caretaker, Brittany Vanzant, who has been providing care for Mr. and Mrs. Weaver at their home.
