Rondal Mullins, a proud veteran of the United States Army and beloved family man, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 77.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Salisbury National Cemetery to honor Rondal's life and service. There will be no formal visitation.
He was born on December 2, 1946, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to the late Jasper and Evie Mullins. Rondal was one of sixteen children, growing up in a large and loving family that included siblings B, Ray, Garland, Danny, Charles, Dirl, Larry, Roger, James, Elorie, Susie, Annie, Celda Mae, Vicky Lou, Emogene, and Juanita.
Rondal’s military service in the Army was a source of immense pride, and he carried the values of honor, duty, and sacrifice into all aspects of his life. After his time in the Army, Rondal continued to lead by example, demonstrating strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.
He leaves behind his cherished wife, Bonnie Jean Archer Mullins, who was his steadfast partner throughout their journey together. Rondal was a devoted father to his sons, Jeff Mullins and Chad Mullins (Heather), and a loving father to his daughter, Crystal Sharpe (David). His legacy of love extends to his three grandchildren, Courtney, Dustin, and David, and his three great-grandchildren, Aryana, Thalia, and Immanuel, who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Gary Sinise Foundation, an organization that supports veterans, defenders, and their families.
Rondal Mullins will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service, love, and dedication will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
