Ronell Towery

Ronell Blaine Towery, 94, of Conrad Street, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House. His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lexington Church of Christ, where he was a member, by Brock Shanks. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Ronell was born in Cleveland County on July 1, 1918, to Letus Denzil "Bill" and Bessie Mae Odom Towery. He was a retired employee of Parkdale Mills. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Ivey Faye Snider Towery; sons Ronald and Jim Towery; granddaughter Rhonda Dowd; sisters Rebron, Margaret and Ruth; and brothers Joe and Jess. Surviving are his son, Larry Towery of Lexington; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister Merle Morris of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Lexington Church of Christ, 1330 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295. Davidson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
