Ronie Forest Hill

March 25, 1944 — February 1, 2017

  Ronie Forest Hill, 72, of Lingle Farm Road, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at his home.   A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Reeds United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Queen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.   Mr. Hill was born March 25, 1944, in Davidson County, to Ronie Everette Hill and Ruth Forest Hill. He was a member of Piedmont Antique Power Association. He loved going to T&T store at Reeds Crossroads. He was a hard worker and had a strong love for animals. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the US in his tractor trailer. Mr. Hill was commissioned by the PGA to build several golf courses in the country that were designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Lynn Lanier Hill, who died January 27, 2014; and brothers, James Hill, Everette Hill and Bobby Hill.   Surviving are daughters, Lori Hill Younts and husband Phil of Lexington and Lisa Barney and husband Darryl of Davie County; stepson, Randy Swicegood and wife Tabitha of Lexington; three grandchildren, Savannah Younts, Wake Younts, and Courtney Barney; and step-grandchildren, Kaleb Swicegood, and Landon Swicegood.
