Ronnie Clifton Owens

Ronnie Owens, 58, of Lexington passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous six month battle with cancer. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Dix officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Brent Hedrick at 414 Salem Road, Lexington, NC. Mr. Owens was born in Davidson County on February 23, 1955. He had worked at Binnings Building Products prior to his present employer Myers Tool. He was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Ryan Woods. Ronnie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Ronnie leaves behind a devoted family to cherish the memories his wife, Libby; “his boys” – Christopher ‘Chris’ Hedrick, Adam Hedrick (Crystal) of Lexington, and Brent Hedrick (Jessica) of Lexington; a daughter Christie Owens Woods (Joey) of Rockhill, SC; son – Ron Owens, Jr. of Boone, NC; brothers – Robert Owens (Tammy) of Lexington; Greg Moore (Debbie) of Lexington; grandchildren – Owen Hedrick, Luke Hedrick, Olivia Hedrick, Brantley Hedrick, Alex Woods, Savannah Owens, Christian Owens, Bryan Moore, and Stacie Moore; lifelong friends Woody and Lisa Woods; and his favorite companion “Punkin”.
