Ronnie Odell Cline, 56, of Stratford Road, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Bowen and Preacher Tony Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cline was born August 27, 1953, in Grayson County, Va., to Troy Cline and Hattie Mae Kinzer Cline. He was a maintenance planner at Kimberly Clark Corporation in Linwood; he served 21 years in the Army Reserves retiring as a Sergeant First Class after serving in Operation Desert Storm. He was a founding member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church where he served as trustee, treasurer, and director of music.
Surviving are his wife, Gail Williams Cline of the home; son, Matthew Cline of Lexington; daughters, Susan Cline of Macon, Ga., Angela Cline, Brittney Cline, Valerie Underwood and Jaime McDaniel, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Maria, Alyssa, Tori, Dylan, Nathaniel, and Taylor; his parents of Independence, Va.; brothers, Larry Cline of Abingdon, Va., and Mark Cline of Christiansburg, Va.; and sisters, Shelby Blevins of Blountville, Tn., Joyce Roberts of Elk Creek, Va., and Lesa Painter of Spokane, Wa.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
