Ronnie Gene Decker 53 of Jerusalem Road, Lexington passed away Saturday September 20, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem after a courageous battle with Melanoma Cancer.
A Funeral Service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Max Shoaf with a graveside service to follow Wednesday at 2:00 pm at New Jerusalem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Ronnie was born September 25 1954 in Davidson County to Clyde Everett and Sarah Ward Decker. His father preceded him in death. He worked at Hedrick Body Shop for many years and enjoyed working on Antique cars and going to car shows with his twin brother Donnie and their friends.
Surviving are his son, Matthew Dane Decker: his mother, Jane Ward Decker: his twin brother, Donnie Decker and his friend, Victoria: sister, Phyllis Decker Grubb and husband Tommy: Nieces, Julie Grubb Morrow and husband, John, and Jennifer Grubb Ashby; and great nephews, Eric and Ethan Morrow and Travis Ashby all of Lexington. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home following the Funeral Service Tuesday Night.
