Ronnie Dale Everhart, 62, of U.S. Highway 601, Mocksville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Craig Barnhill. Burial will follow in National Cemetery, Salisbury.
Mr. Everhart was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Davidson County to Melvin Max Everhart and Mary Alice Miller Everhart. He was a truck driver with Hilco Transport for 14 years after serving in the U.S. Army. He loved to pass his time fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Pam Kay Everhart of Mocksville; three sons, Michael Everhart, Rodney Everhart and Steven Everhart; a daughter, Summer Hedrick and her husband, Will, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Raven Leonard, Bailey Hedrick, Wiatt Hedrick, Hayley Lash, Taylor Lash, Amber Hunter and Triston Lash; and a sister, Nancy Hedrick of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and at other times at the home of his daughter on Old U.S. Highway 64 East.
