Roosevelt "Rh" Henry Leonard Jr.

Roosevelt Henry (R.H.) Leonard, Jr., 84 of S. Holloways Church Rd., Lexington passed away Sunday December 14th at Hinkle Hospice Home after a serious illness of one week. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday December 18th at Holloways Baptist Church where he was a member with Dr. Rev. Dana Slack and Rev. Craig Barnhill officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday, prior to the service at the church. Mr. Leonard was born on January 16, 1930 to Roosevelt Henry Leonard, Sr. and Myrl Ruark Leonard. He was retired from Proctor Swartz and served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #8. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Nadean Leonard, brothers Joe Miller and Marvin Leonard, sisters, Rachel Tetter, Evelyn Eagle, Marsha Lemly and Betty Leonard. Surviving are his wife Lucilla Forshee Leonard of the home, sons Greg Leonard (Marion) of Wilmington and Mitch Leonard of Lexington, grandchildren, Brian Leonard, Kelly Hall, Ryne Elmore, Matthew Leonard and Clay Leonard, 5 great grandchildren and sister Sara Beanblossom (Bob) of Lexington.
