Rosa Dorsett Rachels

Rosa Dorsett Rachels, age 93 of Calhoun, Georgia formerly of Moore Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday night September 28, 2016 at Gordon Health Care in Calhoun. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 2, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Pope and Mr. Henry Farr officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Rosa was born in Davidson County October 1, 1922 to Jesse Lee Dorsett and Lena Sledge Dorsett. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonnie Edward Rachels in 2003; son, Robert Edward Rachels in 2010. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley Rachels Farr (Henry) of Calhoun, GA and Dorthena Rachels Haney (George) of Lubbock, TX; son, George S. Rachels (Lisa) of Chattanooga, TN; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Claudie Rachels of Lexington.
