Rosa "Rose" Sherrill Westmoreland

Rosa “Rose” Sherrill Westmorland, age 87 of Universal Health Care in Fuquay Varina, formerly of Lexington passed away Monday February 6, 2017 at Western Wake Medical Center in Cary. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday February 10, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Lee Zehmer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Rosa was born in Catawba County August 28, 1929 to Luther Cowan Sherrill and Daisy Cline Sherrill. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Westmoreland, Sr.; sisters, Mae Nell Neill and Janie Sherrill; brothers, Elliotte, Maison and Robert Sherrill. Surviving are her sons, Jim Westmoreland, Jr. and wife Rosetta of Granite Quarry, Robert (Bob) Westmoreland and wife Peggy of Willow Springs; grandchildren, Jeffrey H. Westmoreland, Sarah Granberg (Anders), W. Daniel Westmoreland (Sybil) and Katharine Vuocolo (Chris); great granddaughter, Ruby June Westmoreland.
