Mrs. Rosalie Lassiter Lohr, age78 of Lantern Lane, Lexington, NC
died Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center
Mrs. Lohr was born February 9, 1928 in Davidson County to Adam H. Lassiter and Alma Lanning Lassiter. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church where she had served as chairman of the Women of the Church, Chairman of the Church Circle, Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. She was a graduate of Churchland High School and was named all County High School Basketball Player. She was a graduate of Catawba College and had taught school in the County School system for many years including serving as girls basketball coach at Southmont High School. She retired as a Speech and Hearing Therapist. She had spent many summers at Cherry Grove Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Lohr of Lexington, Sons Philip Lohr and wife Diane and Lee Lohr all of Lexington. Grandchildren, Sydney Cummings & husband, James of Morehead City and Mary Berkley Lohr of Lexington and great grandchildren Lucas, Rob and Adam
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, Feb. 17 at First Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Derek Boggs.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and at other times at the home of the son, Philip Lohr, Sapona, 601 Indian Wells Circle, Lexington.
