Rosalie (Rosie) Bond Strickland, 41, of Walnut Cove, NC, devoted wife and mother, quietly passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 18,2007, after a two year battle against cancer.
Her kindness, beauty, gentle heart and determined spirit, along with her sense of humor, love for family, friends, and pets, will live long in the hearts of those who treasure her.
Rosie’s life is cherished by her loving husband, Dewey Leon Strickland, and her daughter, Ashley Strickland; beloved by her mother, Elizabeth Bond Shoaf, and stepfather Lonnie Shoaf of Midway; sisters, Vickie Bond of Phoenix, AZ; Roxie Bond Peters, brother-in-law Art Peters and nephew, Austen Peters of Clemmons; brother, John Bond, sister-in-law Angie Bond and nephew Alex Bond of Welcome; as well as many extended family members, friends and neighbors.
Rosie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Bond, of Midway.
She graduated from North Davidson High School and attended Palmyra United Methodist Church in Walnut Cove.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday July 22, 2007 at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel conducted by Rev. Drew Southern. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Park.
The Family will accept visitors on Saturday July 21, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
