Rose Miller Dameron

Rose Miller Dameron, 81, of Hilltop Drive, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at her home. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Doug Rowe and Dr. Lee Dukes. Private inurnment will follow in the church columbarium immediately after the service. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall of the church, and other times the family will be at the residence. Rose was born Sept. 22, 1933, in Carthage to Harvey Lee and Louise Yow Miller. Rose attended Peace College in Raleigh and Queens College in Charlotte. Rose was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church, where she had served on the Altar Guild and Administrative Board and was a member of the Spruill Sunday School Class. Rose was a member of Lexington Garden Club and the Lexington Charity League. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband William "Bill" Dameron in 2000. Surviving are her daughters, Jane Dameron Worley (Andy) of Clemmons and Susan Dameron Fowler (Joe) of Salisbury; son Scott Dameron and fiancee Amy Lovell of Lexington; grandchildren Buxton, Hurst and Hill Fowler and Susan Barker Fowler; and stepgrandchildren Amanda and Spencer Worley. The family would like to extend love and appreciation for the Home Instead team and CCU nurses and staff. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to donor's choice.
