Mrs. Rosetta Hatcher Phillips, 86, formerly of Phillips Road, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Pine Ridge of Thomasville.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 1 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel and live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, limited seating is available and masks are required. Burial will follow in the Byerly Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips will lie in state from 3-5pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home
She was born February 5, 1934 in Forsyth County to Jesse James Hatcher and Leona Virginia Farley Hatcher. She retired from Stanley Furniture and loved farming and plowing the fields. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Grimes Byerly Phillips, and her son, Ellard Grimes Phillips, preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, Daniel Hatcher, Ed Hatcher, Kenneth Hatcher, Lacy Hatcher and Albert Akers, and her sister, Mary West.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Thompson (Steve) of Lexington; her son, James Franklin “Frank” Phillips (Tammy) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Kristina Kinley (David), Melinda Thompson, Eddie Thompson (Jennifer), Sabrina Branson, and Matt Phillips; and 10 great-grandchildren.
