Rosie Cashatt Austin

Rosie Cashatt Austin, 84 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at her home.

In order to comply with directives from Governor Cooper’s office, a private memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 29 ^th in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ed Armfield, and will be streamed live on the Davidson Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome/

Rosie was born on November 27, 1935 in Randolph County to James Madison Cashatt and Lou Etta Pierce Cashatt.  She retired after 22 years as a teacher’s assistant from Guilford County School System and was a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nolan Austin; and a son, Timmy Austin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Darrell Austin (Terry) of Thomasville, Dale Austin (Gloria) of Climax; daughters, Vickie Boozer (Steve) of Sophia, Sandra Greene (James) of Lexington, Abby Morris (Keith) of Texas; sisters, Pearl Hunt of Reidsville, Christine Tucker of Trinity; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
