Roy Franklin Bates

Roy Franklin Bates, 84, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday November 16, at Mt. View Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating.  The family will visit with friends   one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.

Roy was born on September 23, 1940, to John and Helen Hoffman Bates. He was a lifelong resident of Davison County; he worked at Frank IX Textiles. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Floyd Bates.

He is survived by his son, John Bates, his sisters; Rosa Younts and Vicki Mann.  The family would like to give special thanks to Ray Mc Phail and Louise Kite.
