Roy Benjamin Bean

Roy Benjamin Bean Sr., 56, of Meadow Lane, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Timothy White. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Bean was born May 7, 1951, in Davidson County to Harvey Lee Bean and Francis Jones Bean. He was a self employed construction worker and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Bean and Donnie Bean. Surviving are his wife, Kay Brinker Bean of the home; son, Roy Benjamin Bean Jr. of Lexington; stepson, Timothy Roark and wife, Debbie, of Raleigh; stepdaughters, Sherri DeBusk and husband, John, of Southmont, and Annette Roark of Welcome; six grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Edgar Bean Clark of California and Terry Lee Bean and wife, Louise, of Tyro; and sisters, Bonnie Lemly and husband, Terry, of Southmont, Daisy Brown and husband, Clarence, of Tyro, JoAnn Craddock and husband, Dick, and Mary Craddock and husband, Mack, all of Reidsville; and several special nieces and nephews and also very dear friends, Sharon Smith, William Hanes, and Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Davis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
