Roy J. Berrier Jr.

July 13, 1938 — February 16, 2022

Roy J. Berrier Jr., 83, of Lexington, passed away February 16, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A graveside celebrating his will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Revs. Jeremy Benbrooks and Frankie Matthews officiating. The family receive friends Friday night from 6pm until 8pm at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home on Becky Hill Rd., Lexington.

Mr. Berrier was born July 13, 1938, in Davidson County, to RJ Berrier Sr., and Kathleen Michael Berrier. Roy was a devoted member of 72 years of membership with Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and having served 51 years as church usher and a member of the Ralph Starr Bible Class, was retired from Hedgcock Builders Supply with over 41 years of service. He loved to coon hunt with his favorite dog, Roy's Cindy, to travel with his family (His favorite place was Yellowstone National Park), to cut wood and to spend time outdoors. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren, Roy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and brother, who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 61 years, Katherine Holmes Berrier of the home, sons, Wayne Berrier of Lexington; and Joel Berrier of Boone; daughters, Lisa Fletcher and husband Steven and Heather Tussey and husband Dan all of Lexington; grandchildren, Trevor Berrier, Chase Berrier, Katherine Hilliard and husband Landon, Madison Tussey and Trey Tussey, brother, Jack Berrier and wife Sylvia of Lexington; and sister, Janie Craver of Lexington; and his favorite hunting dog, Roy’s Cindy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church 307 Holt Street Lexington, NC 27292
