Roy Robert Brelsford

Roy Robert Brelsford age 78 passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 6, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Halipilias officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Roy was born in Cook County, Illinois on July 3, 1934 to Ted Jerome Brelsford and Olga Sandberg Brelsford. He was a draftsman with Poly Carolina and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jeannie Gouge and Annie Brelsford. Surviving are his wife Lenora Ahrens Brelsford of the home; one son, Robert Alan Brelsford of Midway; four daughters, Lenora Ann Lawler and husband Douglas of Abingdon, VA, Susan Louise Little and husband Tony of Indian Trail, NC, Elaine Marie Harwood and husband Michael of Winston-Salem, Carol Lynn Garris and husband Jeff of Winston-Salem; one brother, George Brelsford and wife Donna of IN; two sisters, Carol Grabowski and Dora Jasmer both of Illinois, and fifteen grandchildren.
