Roy Robinson

Roy McDow Robinson, 75, of Floyd Church Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A private service was held Saturday at Floyd Baptist Church cemetery. "HE'S HOME AT LAST." Mr. Robinson was born April 25, 1932, in Pulaski County, Va., to Edgar McDow Robinson and Grace Floyd Robinson. He was a retired employee of Sealy Mattress and a faithful member of Rowan Christian Church in Salisbury. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Walker Robinson, in June 1991; a grandson, Jason Harmon; a brother, Don Robinson; a half brother, Lester Bean; and a half sister, Sadie Carrick. Surviving are three sons, Banks Robinson and his wife, Joyce, Noble Robinson and his wife, Joyce, and Kevin Robinson, all of Lexington; a daughter, Lynn Harmon and her husband, Bruce, of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Stacie, Brandi, Melody, Kari, Cynthia, Stephanie, Ben, Ashley and Angela; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Daniel, Kyra, Elijah, Cassi, Hayleigh, Echo and Daniel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rowan Christian Church, 2155 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28145.
