Roy Taylor

Roy Odell Taylor, Jr., 58, of Mitchell Bryce Dr., Linwood died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Sam Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born December 27, 1954 in Rowan County to Roy Odell Taylor, Sr. and Mary Lee Williams Taylor. He was a concrete finisher. He is survived by his son, Scotty Taylor and wife, Anna, of Hiddenite; his daughter, Lynn Julian and husband, Ray, of Harmony; his sister, Cathy Taylor and Steve Allen of Linwood; his brothers, Lee Taylor and wife, Angie, and Mike Taylor and wife, Karen, both of Tyro; his grandchildren, Samantha and Brittany Julian, and Dylan Taylor; his nieces, Tiffany Taylor, Brandi Phillips, and Spencer Hendrix; his nephews, Michael Allen, Thomas Allen, Michael Taylor, Jr. and Christopher Taylor; his great nieces, Maleigha Allen and Mikah Phillips; great nephew; Haydan Allen, Matthew Taylor, and Charlie Taylor; and his special friends, Richard Gallimore and Jerry Garris.
