Roy Banks Weaver

March 17, 1960 — June 25, 2025

Roy Banks Weaver, 65, of Lexington, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by his best friend and pastor, David Tessener. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends during visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00–7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Roy was born on March 17, 1960, in Davidson County, NC. He was a hard-working man who spent over 22 years at LFI Plant 4 before continuing his career at Schneider Electric in Welcome. He was known for his strong work ethic and humble nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Jordan and Betty Rose Jordan, his  beloved aunt and uncle, Betty Sue and Joe Weaver, and his beautiful niece, Celia Jordan.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and “sweet sugar,” Frances Brim Weaver; his children: Adam Weaver (Rebecca), Holly Smith (Brandon), and Kayla Beck (Allen); and the mother of his children, Jane Weaver Carter. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Fred Johnson (Lisa), Adrienne Adkins (Lou), and Laura Johnson; his brother, Keith Jordan (Lori); his sister, Diane Weaver (Kim); and his treasured grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Kalleigh, Kyleigh, Paisley, Russell, Alexis, Makenzie, Amara, Nathan, Rileigh, Brenden, and an expected grandson, Isaac.

Roy shared a deep and lasting bond with his “brother from another mother,” David Tessener, and was a devoted companion to his cherished fur babies, Gracie and Curry.

Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose quiet strength and steady presence brought peace and joy to everyone around him. He deeply valued time with family, especially during holidays and celebrations. Known for his sweet tooth—especially his love for peanut butter—Roy also enjoyed a good cheeseburger from Dairi-O or Speedy’s, always with chili and slaw.

Above all, Roy was a man of unwavering faith. His relationship with the Lord remained strong throughout his life and illness, and he never failed to give thanks, often reminding others of how good God had been to him.

He will be remembered for his humility, kindness, and love for his family—and for living a life that honored God in quiet but powerful ways.

Memorial contributions may be made to Davidson Funeral Home in Roy’s memory.
