Royal Sanford Jarvis, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 17, 2023. He was born on May 7, 1936, to Roy and Donna Jarvis in Davidson County.
After serving in the Army, Royal returned home to embark on a successful career as an insurance agent with Royal Jarvis Insurance. He dedicated himself to his work and earned the respect of his colleagues and clients alike.
A man of faith, Royal was a proud member of Grace Baptist Church of Thomasville, where his spiritual journey flourished. Additionally, he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Thomasville, where he formed lasting bonds with his fellow members.
Royal is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Donna Jarvis. He is survived by his loving daughter, Donna Hill (Tim), and two grandchildren, Nicole Goode (Jonathan) and Amanda Hill. His legacy continues through his five great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Blackburn, Wyatt Goode, Cadence Savage, Abby Goode, and Michael Goode.
Outside of his professional and community endeavors, Royal was an avid sports enthusiast. His passion extended to the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Tarheels, Thomasville Bulldogs, and the New York Yankees. He found joy in cheering for his favorite teams, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Royal's favorite dining spot was Terry's Barbeque House in Thomasville. He relished the camaraderie and delicious meals shared with loved ones.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
