Ruby Lee Dorsett Briggs

Ruby Lee Dorsett Briggs, 89, of Joan Drive, died Monday, August 7, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.  A graveside service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday at Beck’s Lutheran Church conducted by Vicar Rob Crawford.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm at the church.  Mrs. Briggs was born February 11, 1928, in Davidson County, to Roby Dorsett and Bernice Varner Dorsett. She was a member of Becks Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Clifton Briggs.  Surviving are son, Stanley Briggs (Beverly) of Lexington; daughters, Sandy Coffey (Michael) of Greensboro, and Rhonda Wolfe (Michael) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Nathan Briggs (Brittany), David Coffey, and Caleb Wolfe; one brother, Add Dorsett and wife Cora of Lexington; two sisters, Carolina Conrad and husband Paul of Lexington and Mickie Clinard of Canton NC.
