Ruby Craver Hedrick Earley

Ruby Craver Hedrick Earley, 96, of Lexington, passed away May 21, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, 24, 2022 at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery, where she was a long-time member, with the Rev. David Crook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the graveside service in the fellowship hall.

Ruby was born June 20, 1925, in Davidson County, to Thomas Olin Matthew Craver and Irma Crews Craver. Ruby was a devoted member of the church and the church family. She was retired from the school administration office with the Lexington City School System as a secretary. She loved to travel, cooking and shopping. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Warren J. Hedrick and her second husband, Robert Earley, a grandson, Jeffrey Keith Hedrick who passed away January 9, 2013, brother, J.L. Craver, sisters, Patty Laws, Betty Stevens, Charlotte Berrier, Mildred Craver, Virginia Hill, Lois Jarvis, Esther McNeill, Lena Myers, Margaret Motsinger.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Olin Keith Hedrick and wife Deana, Jacob Richard Hedrick, and wife Sherry all of Lexington; also surviving are her 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Peggy Hill of Welcome, and many special friends, and extended family members.
