Ruby Rhodes Frank

Ruby Rhodes Frank, 88, of John Young Road, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2014. Mrs. Frank was born October 2, 1926, in Davidson County, to Robert “Bob” Lee Rhodes and Fallie Leonard Rhodes. She was well known for her compassion and the love and care she would share with the community children. She loved to cook, garden and go camping. At her church she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Clyatte Frank who died January 31, 2013; daughter, Dorothy Frank; and sisters, Mary Goins and Irene Frank. Surviving are sons, Wayne Frank and wife Judy, Johnny Frank and wife Joy, all of Denton, Larry Frank and wife Bennie, and Tony Frank and wife Pansy, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Amanda and Monica Freedle, Monnie and Amber, and Ashlee Frank, Maria Hodge and husband Jarrod; great-grandchild, Rylee Hodge; and sister, Rebecca Pleasant of Lexington.
