Ruby Freeman, age 88 of North NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Thursday morning, September 15, 2016 at her home. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday September 17, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 Saturday prior to the service and at other times at the sons respective homes. Ruby was born in Davidson County October 15, 1927 to Rubin and Stamey York Perrell. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Duracell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold Lee Freeman on March 8, 2001; sisters, Virginia Everhart, Florence Walser and Margaret Beck; brothers, Jack, Don, Charles, Bobby, Frank and Rube Perrell. Surviving are her sons, Randy Freeman and wife Patricia and Tony Freeman and wife Sherry all of Lexington; grandson, Josh Freeman; brothers, Bill Perrell and wife Juanita, York Perrell and Mike Perrell and wife Vickie all of Lexington, Johnny Perrell and wife Ruth of Yuma, AZ.
