Ruby Goforth

Ruby Weaver Goforth, 82, of Goforth Lake Road in Lexington, died Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday November 18, 2017 at  the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. David Wooten officiating services.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday November 18, 2017 Davidson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Goforth was born February 5, 1935 in Davidson County to Henry Weaver and Lizzie James Weaver. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church and was retired from PPG. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carlos Layton Goforth, one son Lester William Goforth, and three brothers, Tommy Weaver, Homer Weaver, and H.C. Weaver.   Surviving is one daughter, Patricia Wright of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Heather Adkins (Bruce), April Smith (James), Travis Goforth (Brittny), Caitlin Cartrette (Brent); 7 great-grandchildren, Saylor and Sawyer Adkins, Christian and Lincoln Smith, Gauge and Nash Goforth and Jayden Cartrette.   Memorials may be made to West Davidson Food Pantry, West Old US Highway 64, Lexington N.C. 27295
