Ruby Cross Hollingsworth

Ruby Cross Hollingsworth, age 91, of Lexington passed away Monday night at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Stoners Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service. Ruby was born in Davidson County, July 21, 1923 to Jones L. and Ella Beck Cross. She was a retired employee of Duracell and a member of Stoners Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. Hollingsworth in 1989; a son, Bill Hollingsworth; a daughter, Joyce Diane Hollingsworth; a grandson, Larry Hollingsworth, Jr.; her sister, Gladys Workman, and her brother, Paul Cross. Ruby is survived by sons, Larry Hollingsworth and Roger Hollingsworth of Southmont; grandchildren, Diane Gabert of Florida, Shelly Hodges of Southmont and Holden Long of Midway; four great-grandchildren.
