Ruby Mae Baker Bayliff

Ruby Mae Baker Bayliff, 92, of Lexington, NC passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dave Kelley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Haw River, NC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 in the church family life center.

Ruby was born to Robert Bunion Baker and Lillie Hill Baker on April 27, 1927 in Haw River, NC.  She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School class and formerly served as head of the Senior Citizens group.  She was retired from Leesona Corp. in Burlington, NC.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening and loving her family to the utmost.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Alvis Reid Bayliff; granddaughter, Kelly Johnson; sisters, Mozelle Mcpherson, Louise Mullis, Pauline Ray, Gladys (Its) Everhart, Inez Hackney, Polly Clapp; and brothers, Robert Baker, Jr., Dorthan Baker and Clarence Baker.

She is survived by sons, Rod Bayliff (Linda) of Jupiter, FL, Randy Bayliff (Pattie) of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Brandy Michael (Alan), Kristin Eagle (Brad), Britan Blake, Randy Paul Bayliff (Diane), Todd Lambert (Brandy), Bobby Lambert (Patt) and 10 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by dear friends, Loretta Lequire, Buffy Haney and Myrtle Hege.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Shiloh Family Life Center fund, 943 N. NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295 or to the Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
