Ruby Mae Lohr Mccarn

Ruby Mae Lohr McCarn, 91, of East Center Street, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at Carolina House. A memorial graveside service will be 12 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Linwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Goodman officiating. Mrs. McCarn was born November 18, 1922, in Davidson County, to James Brantley Lohr and Lillie Jane Swing Lohr. She was co-owner of Country Kitchen and a member of Becks Reformed Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy McCarn, who died February 17, 2013; brothers, Noble Lohr, Wade Lohr, John Lohr, Bobby Lohr, and Paul “Speedy” Lohr; and sisters, Mary Jo Webb and Barbara Smith. Surviving are sons, Reggie Lee McCarn and life partner Jack Medinger of Washington, DC and Jimmy Davis and wife Linda of Lexington; grandchildren, Dawn Beck and Chad Davis; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Beck and Landon Davis; and a brother, Jerry Lohr and wife Bobbie of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
