Ruby Morris

Ruby Riddle Morris, 72, of Linwood, passed away Friday April 29, 2022, at her home in Linwood.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday May 3, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will see friends from 12:00 – 2:00 pm before the service.

Mrs. Morris was born June 18, 1949, in Calvin, West Virginia, to Hartley Arnold Riddle and Eula Mae Evans Phillips. She was retired Vice President with New Bridge Bank and a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Ruby was a devoted member of her church and the church family. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lexington Chapter 98. Her passion was her faith, church, and family. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Dale Morris who died January 13, 2011, and her grandson, PJ who died April 3, 2020. Also preceding her in death is her stepfather, Delbert Hoover Phillips.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Steven Darrell Morris of the home, daughter, Angela Morris Robbins husband Scott of Lexington; brother, James H. Riddle girlfriend Linda of Lexington; her sister, Connie McLemore, and husband Barry of Lexington.
