Ruby Redmon Neal

Ruby Redmon Neal, 78, of Southmont, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the Hinkle Hospice House on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Ruby was born in Walnut Cove, North Carolina on January 30, 1947, to the late Ella Mae Osborne and Robert Lee Redmon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother-in-law.

Ruby was a graduate of South Stokes High School Class of 1964. She went on to be a long-time educator for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, which she talked about often. After retirement, she enjoyed taking a drive with her late husband, TL, and spending time with her Maltese and Pomeranian dogs.

Ruby is survived by her son Kevin Neal (Torena) of Lexington, NC; three grandchildren: Garrett Neal (Laurin) of Lexington, NC, Meredyth Robinson (Austin) of China Grove, NC, and Madison Phillips (Cameryn) of Southmont, NC; two great-grandchildren: Catherine Neal and Weston Robinson; one sister-in-law Carolyn Neal of Charlottesville, VA; two nieces: Paige Neal (Paul) and Kristi Packer (James), and one nephew Rob Neal (Merribeth) all of Virigina.

There will be no formal memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Davidson County.
