Ruby Wrenn Owen, 91, of Highway 47, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at her home following a four week illness.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, at Center Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Brian Alexander. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Owen was born April 20, 1917, in Davidson County, to Cicero Wrenn and Sarah Belle Staley Wrenn. She was a homemaker. She married Burrell Owen who preceded her in death in 1958. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Odell Wrenn and Richard “Buck” Wrenn; and sisters, Ruth Elliott, Mabel Horton and Edna Worley.
Surviving are her nephews, Barry Wrenn and wife, Wendy, of Lexington and Tom Horton and wife, Viva, of Michigan; nieces, Jessie Troutner and husband, Lafe, of Michigan, Linda Wilson and husband, Rick, of Indian Trail, and Cindy Wilborn of Roxboro; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
