Ruby Tussey

Ruby Mae Burkhart Tussey, 81, formerly of Highway 47, Lexington, died Saturday, March 26 at Piedmont Crossing after declining health of ten years. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 29 at Beck’s Reformed Church by Rev. Gerald Sanders. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Ms. Tussey was born May 8, 1929 in Davidson County to Carl and Jennie Burkhart. She was a homemaker and a member of Beck’s Reformed Church. She is survived by her son, J. Robert Tussey of Lexington; her daughter, Linda Tussey Cross and husband, Rick, of Rocky Mount; her sisters, Ernestine Surratt of Winston Salem and Joyce Swing of Lexington; six grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
