Ruby Leonard Walser

Ruby Leonard Walser, age 71 of Jefferson Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Friendship United Methodist Church, where she was a member with Rev. Doug Pryor officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday night, and at other times at the home. Ruby was born in Davidson County May 6, 1945 to Norman O.B. Leonard and Edna Curry Leonard. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Reid Walser in 2011 and a sister, Virginia Sowers. Surviving are her son, Michael Walser and wife Dawn of Lexington; granddaughters, Macy and Molly Walser; special great-niece, Candace Leonard Kiser of Lexington; sisters, Katie Leonard and Patricia Perryman both of Lexington; brothers, Kenneth, Bernard, Larry and Bryce Leonard all of Lexington.  The family would like to thank Dr. Webster and staff of the 6th floor at Select Specialty Hospital at Forsyth Medical Center for all their care and support.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
