Ruby Leonard Walser, age 71 of Jefferson Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Friendship United Methodist Church, where she was a member with Rev. Doug Pryor officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday night, and at other times at the home. Ruby was born in Davidson County May 6, 1945 to Norman O.B. Leonard and Edna Curry Leonard. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Henry Link Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Reid Walser in 2011 and a sister, Virginia Sowers. Surviving are her son, Michael Walser and wife Dawn of Lexington; granddaughters, Macy and Molly Walser; special great-niece, Candace Leonard Kiser of Lexington; sisters, Katie Leonard and Patricia Perryman both of Lexington; brothers, Kenneth, Bernard, Larry and Bryce Leonard all of Lexington.
