Ruby West Williams, age 88 of Fairway Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday morning at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Myra Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday.
Ruby was born in Rowan County, March 9, 1926 to Homer Lloyd and Pearl Beatrice Stewart Richardson. She was a retired employee of Colonial Stores as Head Cashier and worked at State Street Grocery. She taught classes of Creative Stitchery at Davidson and Randolph Community College. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul D. Williams; a sister, Viola Mae Beeker and a nephew, Pete Beeker.
Surviving are a niece, Linda Ann Stiff (Gary) of Alabama; a nephew, Michael Beeker (Judy) of Alabama; brother in law, James Beeker of Alabama.
