Ruby Young

Ruby Young, age 78, of Younts Road in Lexington, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at her home. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday night. Ruby was born in Randolph County June 22, 1937 to Charlie Ernest Gibson and Rosie Mae Hunt Gibson. She was a retired employee of PPG and a member of One Way Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 brothers. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James T. Young of the home; daughter, Amy Darrow (Mike) of Lexington; sons, Randy Young (Sue), Terry Young (Iris) and Marty Young (Drema McCarty) all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Driver of Love Valley, NC.
