Russell Scott Davis

Russell Scott Davis, 47, of Gene Hege Road, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a sudden illness. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Glenn Sanford. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Davis was born Sept. 19, 1959, in Norfolk, Va., to George J. Davis and Margaret Gorman Davis. He was employed with East Coast Construction Service and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Pam Newton Davis of the home; a son, Matthew Scott Davis of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Marie Davis of the home; a grandson, Paw Paw's Little Man Chase Lowery of the home; his parents of Lexington; a brother, Danny Davis of Lexington; a sister, Suzette Aiken and her husband, Rick, of Lexington; a grandmother, Doris Gorman of Moncks Corner, S.C.; aunts and uncles O.L. and Doris Stephens of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Albert J. Gorman Jr. of Middleton, Del.; and special friends Frankie Melton, Sean Lowery and Amanda Logan, all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
